Significant change is coming to
Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
But, what kind of change will it be?

A proposal from Community Health Systems Professional Services Corporation (CHS) provides a way to combine the resources of Lakeway Regional Hospital with those at Morristown Hamblen to create a strong, local healthcare system. Working together, instead of in competition, the hospitals could join forces to expand and improve the healthcare services available for you and your family.

Unfortunately, as the Board of Directors of MHHS contemplates the future of their hospital, they are not even considering the option that offers the most benefit for our region. The CHS proposal was never fully considered before MHHS entered into exclusive talks to sell MHHS to Knoxville’s Covenant Health.

It’s not too late.  A decision this important – one that impacts the future of an entire community – deserves transparency and a robust public conversation so everyone can make an informed decision.

How does the CHS proposal compare to the Covenant offer? While CHS has been forthcoming about its offer, Covenant and MHHS have been unwilling to disclose any details about the deal they are making. The Morristown and Hamblen County community deserves an objective comparison of both offers. Please join with us in asking the MHHS Board to fairly consider the CHS proposal and openly discuss the CHS and Covenant proposals publicly before making a final decision. After all, it is a decision that affects all of us.

Contact the MHHS Board of Directors and ask them to release the details of the Covenant Health proposal and seriously consider the CHS proposal.
 
Contact our elected officials and ask them to call on the MHHS Board to publicly share the details of the Covenant proposal so a they can be compared to the benefits of the CHS proposal.
