The four-bed facility is located in a comfortable, quiet setting in The Medical Arts Center on Morris Boulevard. The newly furnished and pleasantly decorated rooms provide a comfortable place of rest for the evening and offer a complete handicap room with an adjustable bed that can elevate to meet the needs of patients. The Sleep Center is equipped with sleep technology especially designed for high-performance sleep centers. One out of every four people have sleep disorders. Some disorders are potentially life threatening, such as chronic sleep apnea, (which causes a person to stop breathing as many as 600 times over the course of a night). Advances in technology provide effective ways to treat many sleep disorders. The Lakeway Regional Hospital Sleep Center was established for the evaluation of patients with disorders as diverse as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, epilepsy and restless leg syndrome.
