Lakeway Regional Hospital is a general medical/surgical acute care facility with 135 beds, including a 7 bed ICU, a 10 bed Women's Pavilion, a 27 bed Inpatient physical Rehabilitation unit, and a 24 hour Emergency Room serving the residents of Morristown, and the Lakeway region. A brief history of the hospital shows that in 1936, Dr. Luke Nabors opened a small two-story building that housed patient rooms, an emergency room, an operating room, a x-ray room, a business office/reception area, a kitchen and nurses quarters. The facility was known as Nabor's Clinic.

Through the 1940's and into the 1950's there were fewer than 10 physicians in Morristown. Dr. Nabors began recruiting young physicians to the area helping them to relocate and establish their practices. This began a tradition that is still carried on at Lakeway Regional Hospital. In 1957 the hospital name changes to Doctor's Hospital.

Under the direction of Humana, Inc., the 1970's and 80's brought many progressive changes to the hospital. Later in 1993, changing its ownership and name to Lakeway Regional Hospital, the hospital continued to expand upon its medical services by recruiting additional physicians and specialists. Currently, there are over 70 members of the active medical staff which brings the total to more than 150 physicians.
