The Main Campus (Bradley Memorial Hospital) was established in 1952 as a not-for-profit, county-based facility. At consolidation, BMH was:

A general medical/surgical hospital facility with 351 beds;
-
A 50-year-old aging campus;
-
Held in trust by a Board of Trustees for the people of Bradley County;
-
In need of capital funds.
The Westside Campus (Cleveland Community Hospital) began in 1975 as a for-profit facility. At consolidation, CCH was:

A 100-bed, for-profit general medical/surgical facility;
-
An up-to-date, easy-access campus;
-
Affiliated with CHS since the mid ‘90s with access to its accompanying financial and operational resources;
-
A market leaders which had gained much leverage and market share over BMH from 1999 – 2005.
In late 2004/early 2005, BMH changed course and sent out a request for proposals to several hospital corporations (including CHS) to purchase BMH. CHS made the most viable offer to BMH and due diligence began.
Today, SkyRidge Medical Center is a thriving hospital with two campuses:

Main Campus – Provides a full array of inpatient and outpatient services including an off-site wound center and therapy services; more than 200 physicians on staff.

Westside Campus – Offers adult psychiatric and substance abuse services, outpatient surgery, sleep center and imaging services.
Capital investments to date total $58 million.
